Their is not a 'typical' aerialist body. All bodies, shapes and sizes are perfect to learn aerial! no experience is necessary!
Its ok to feel intimidated. Don't focus on other students. Learning a new skill is a journey and all of our journeys are different.
What to Wear

Leggings or athletic pants that fully cover the backs of your knees

A fitted t-shirt or tank top that covers your stomach/armpits
-
Avoid shorts, loose shirts, zippers, or jewelry (they can snag the fabric)
-
Bare feet are usually preferred for silks
-
Long sleeves can help reduce fabric burn when you're first learning.
Before Class

Eat a light meal or snack about 1–2 hours beforehandDrink plenty of water

Avoid heavy lotions or oils on your hands/body since they make the fabric slippery

Trim long nails if possible

Learning climbs, foot locks, and basic poses

Safety technique and how to come down properly

Your arms and core will probably get tired quickly — that’s completely normal for first-timers.
